Established in 1932 by Mr. Rathanlal Chordia, The Jayanthilal Group has grown to be the largest suppliers of tea from Nilgiris to blenders like Brook Bond and Liptons. Clubbed with intense knowledge and expertise, Mr.Rathanlal Chordia ably aided by his son Mr.Sampathlal Chordia, was not only a pioneer in setting up of the Tea Auctions of Coonoor but was also a part of the London Auctions. Their invaluable contibution has been instrumental popularizing South Indian tea in the wholesale markets of India.
Our current MD, Mr. Jayanthilal Chordia took over in 1968 and has created a strong marking network nation-wide. In 1988, Sampath Tea Industries Pvt. Ltd. was added under the umbrella of the Jayanthilal Group and the inaugural of the first tea factory under the brand “ROYAL VALLEY” – Specializing in CTC manufacture.
Royal Valley Tea continues to attract wholesaler and consumers over the year under the buying house Ketti Valley Tea India Pvt. Ltd.- incorporated in 1998 as well as through the parent firm Jayanthilal & Co.
The directors have served as committee members of “The Nilgiris Bought leaf Tea manufacturers Association” & “The Coonoor Tea Trade Association.
The group has an esteemed presence in the wholesale markets and amongst blenders.While dominating the markets in Coonoor and Coimbatore auction centers, the company also exports to the Middle East and Russian countries.

In order to do so, all teas purchased and produced by us is screened for flavor, quality and appearance through a meticulous process of tea tasting by the organo-lipthic method.
